The challenge

Australia’s largest animal shelter, Lost Dogs Home has been a cornerstone of animal welfare in Melbourne since 1913. Despite its impact in the community, it needed a digital presence that matched the scale and significance of its work. Their existing website no longer reflected their brand as a trusted, iconic Melbournian shelter, nor did it meet the needs of mobile users or staff managing content. The LDH team wanted a refreshed platform to tell their story, increase adoption visibility, and improve user experience across all touchpoints.

Our solution

We worked with the team as their integrated creative partner to lead a comprehensive digital transformation, including a complete website redesign, mobile-first optimisation to serve on-the-go users better, and a user-friendly Content Management System for internal team flexibility and efficiency. We also built them a dedicated website for veterinary bookings.

The impact

  • The new website positions Lost Dogs Home as a sector leader in digital engagement among animal welfare charities.
  • Staff can now update and manage content easily, leading to more timely campaigns and adoption listings.
  • A streamlined system for veterinary booking, thanks to their dedicated microsite.
