Overview

What is a Strategic Roadmap?

A Strategic Roadmap is a fixed-price diagnostic engagement designed to clarify where you are, where you need to be and what should happen next.

Depending on the scope, we may interview stakeholders, audit your brand, customer experience, marketing assets, communications or digital systems, and review your market and competitive landscape.

The result is a prioritised action plan that explains what needs to change, in what order and why. It helps reduce uncertainty before a larger investment and gives stakeholders a shared direction.

A roadmap is not a strategy deck that sits on a shelf. It is a diagnostic that clarifies what needs to change, in what order, and why.

When does a Strategic Roadmap make sense?

A roadmap is useful before a major rebrand, investment or when teams need a clear, shared direction. It may be the right starting point when you are:

New to a leadership role and need to understand a complex landscape quickly.

Working across fragmented systems with no clear view of brand or customer experience.

Planning a transformation, rebrand, platform or website investment.

Responding to regulatory change affecting communications, systems or operations.

Entering a planning cycle and needing evidence-based priorities.

Struggling to align stakeholders around a clear path forward.

Questions Worth Asking

The practical side of starting a Strategic Roadmap

A Strategic Roadmap is a fixed-price diagnostic engagement that maps your current state, identifies the gaps and turns the findings into a prioritised action plan. It is designed for organisations that need clarity before committing to a larger investment.

Most Roadmaps take six to eight weeks from discovery to final delivery. Timing depends on the scope, stakeholder availability and the amount of research or auditing required.

We typically involve decision-makers, subject matter experts and people close to the customer, systems or operational challenge. Your team provides the context and input; Mo Works leads the research, analysis and synthesis.

A Roadmap may still be useful if the strategy needs validating, updating or translating into clear priorities. If the direction and requirements are already well defined, Strategic Delivery may be a better starting point.

Yes. The recommendations can be developed into defined Strategic Delivery projects or supported through ACCESS. The Roadmap can also guide your internal team, another partner or a future procurement process.

You receive a current-state assessment, identified gaps, prioritised recommendations and a practical action plan. The exact outputs are agreed during scoping and tailored to the challenge.

The recommendations are supported by research, stakeholder input and analysis, but they are not a mandate. We explain the evidence and rationale, and your organisation retains the final decision on what to adopt, adapt or defer.
