Docklands dollars is ready to bring visitors and traffic back into our Docklands community!

Exciting news! We just launched the Docklands Dollars initiative, alongside Docklands Chamber of Commerce, City of Melbourne and Development Victoria. The program is aimed at stimulating spending in our beloved Docklands community.

When soaring COVID-19 cases caused Melbourne to go into lockdown last year, Docklands was hit especially hard by the lack of spending and foot traffic to local eateries, shops and bars.

And that’s when the Docklands Dollars initiative was born.

After almost 12 months of development, Docklands Dollars launched this March and we built the program campaign’s brand, website and platform

The initiative is designed to encourage visitors to stay, eat, buy, play and redeem in Docklands. You can get a $100 rebate for a 2-night stay in Docklands, alongside a further $110 rebate across retail, services, restaurants, attractions and fast food. The rebates can also be sourced in conjunction with the State Government Melbourne accommodation voucher scheme.

Register now via their website

After registering, activate your registration within 30 days by staying in Docklands for a minimum of 2 nights. Plus, get a further 30 days to submit receipts in order to receive your rebate directly to your account.

Docklands Chamber of Commerce President, Mrs Johanna Maxwell, says that it is their “biggest initiative ever” and they are proud of what they have created.

“Our traders are buzzing and ready to receive customers”.

Melbourne Lord Mayor, Sally Capp, even attended the launch and was anticipating that this program would provide an important boost to local businesses.

"Our investment in Docklands Dollars has come from the joint $100 million Melbourne City Recovery Fund in partnership with the Victorian Government...We just want a vibrant and thriving Docklands with restaurants, cafes and retail stores filled with people".

Well, what are you waiting for? See you soon in Docklands!
