So where do you start when considering founding an agency overseas?

Starting a creative agency overseas seems like an impossible task. I mean, starting one domestically is hard enough, so why complicate things? I recently started working at Melbourne’s Mo Works Creative Agency, only to realise it was co-founded by a passionate Jordanian creative director Mo Hamdouna and his business-savvy French fiancée Ophelie Mouton. With a diverse range of connections overseas, Mo and Ophelie decided to start afresh in Australia and make this country a home for their beloved agency and for themselves. Now, sitting in a colourful office in Docklands, surrounded by a vibrant creative team – Mo and Ophelie haven’t looked back.

So where do you start when considering founding an agency overseas? Having had a frank discussion with Mo and Ophelie, we’ve come up with the five biggest challenges that you might face.
