The Workplace Health and Safety Show is one of the most important events of the year for sharing knowledge and educating Australian businesses on best practices in workplace safety. Australia’s largest showcase of technology, products, and services centred on creating a safer workplace took place from the 22nd to the 23rd of May, and we were lucky enough to find ourselves amongst the crowd of innovators.
Here are some of our favourites:
SafeTCard
The first cab off the rank was SafeTCard, one of our clients, who impressed - as always - with their brilliantly designed booth (thank you) and innovative range of personal safety devices designed to provide instant alerts and GPS monitoring for lone workers. Help, and their sales team, are never far away. These experts are serious about team safety and are always up for a chat about how teams can improve their safety protocols.
Anchor Safe
Anchor Safe got our attention with its comprehensive height safety solutions and friendly sales team. With robust anchor points and fall protection systems that prioritise worker safety and security at elevated sites, Anchor Safe will have your working at heights safety protocols locked and loaded.
Mosafe
First of all, great name. Second of all, Mosafe’s incredible design-led platform caught our eye immediately. With a strong ‘No Bullsh*t’ branding and engaging video content, these guys know how to draw a crowd. Mosafe’s goal is to provide a safer everyday work environment through an easy-use digital library of interactive safety content for fewer accidents, risks, and costs to businesses. We couldn’t agree with an ethos more.
Haylo
Haylo partners with Australian businesses to provide full-service recruitment for Insurance, Personal Injury, Worker Compensation, Work Health Safety, and Wellbeing teams. They do brilliant work enabling organisations to thrive, but what really grabbed our attention was their incredible activation of a money wind machine to win prizes, which Mo was thrilled to jump into, but was unfortunately disqualified for using external tools (his jacket) to grab the cash. Talk about creating an engaging interactive event activation.
Incident Zero
Incident Zero brings together neuroscience and machinery to create the ultimate solution for vehicle safety with an incredible goal of reducing human-machine incidents to zero. The Safety Halo creates a laser light around a vehicle for a movable safety barrier to alert workers to stay out of the safe zone. Their adorable mini-robots are just the cherry on top of what is a brilliant innovation.
Premrest
This national leader in commercial flooring solutions had a great activation in a wheel spin much like the beloved wheel of fortune. Winning a Frank Green coffee cup is bound to get any Melbournian’s - nee, Australian’s - attention. With a reputation as the go-to for any and all flooring cleaning and installation solutions, Premrest is an innovator in sustainable commercial flooring.
Cotewell
Cotewell also jumped on the interactive display train, with engaging stickers and lights on the floor, they highlighted their industrial coatings and PPE products. Engineered to protect workers from hazardous substances and extreme conditions, Cotwell is your go-to for keeping your workers safe in even the harshest of environments.
If you haven’t already marked your calendars or bookmarked the website for the next Workplace Health and Safety Show, we highly recommend you do so. If you’re looking for an engaging event to find out how to update your safe work policy with the best in the business, this is the place to be.
