Our FLIP THE VAPE campaign has won at the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards on 26 November 2025.
Mo Works is proud to announce that we have won at the 2025 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards, recognised in the Excellence in Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing category for our work with the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) on the FLIP THE VAPE campaign.
This achievement highlights the power of creative collaboration in advancing health equity and amplifying community-led solutions.
FLIP THE VAPE has been one of our most meaningful projects this year. Developed in partnership with VAHS, the campaign takes a fresh, culturally grounded approach to anti-vaping messaging for Aboriginal young people.
Co-designed with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) and First Nations ambassadors, the campaign centres lived experience, storytelling, and cultural strength. Rather than leaning on fear-based messaging, we focused on empowerment—reframing conversations about choice, health, and belonging.
The response across Victoria has been powerful, and with a Tasmanian rollout on the horizon, its impact continues to grow.
We’re incredibly proud to see this work celebrated for its authenticity, collaboration, and effectiveness in supporting the wellbeing of Aboriginal young people.
Design that makes a difference
Winning at the Victorian Public Healthcare Awards reaffirms why we do what we do. At Mo Works, we believe design is a tool for connection, empowerment, and social change.
We’re grateful to VAHS and our partnering ACCHOs and ambassadors for trusting us with this important work, and we look forward to continuing to create meaningful, community-driven design that supports healthier futures.
