Advancing Innovation in the Wind Energy Chain at Australia Wind Energy 2024

Australia Wind Energy 2024: where industry experts connect to shape the future of renewable energy. Explore our key insights and innovations from the event.

We attended Australia’s largest annual onshore and offshore wind energy event, Australia Wind Energy 2024, and it’s safe to say it blew us away.

Wind energy accounts for about 12.8% of Australia’s total electricity generation, and continues to grow as a reliable alternative energy source. It is currently the cheapest source of large-scale renewable energy and the single-largest contributor to Australia’s clean energy transformation

This event was a fantastic opportunity for those in the industry to expand their networks, have important conversations, work through industry problems, and forge some really valuable connections. We learned about some fantastic companies working to decarbonise and future-proof Australian energy.

Here are some of our highlights:

We were thrilled to meet PoweringWA, who, having just launched on July 1st, made their debut at Wind Energy. Created with the goal of transforming and future-proofing WA’s biggest energy network for full decarbonisation, PoweringWA exists to deliver the necessary change to power a renewable energy transformation. The WA Government has empowered PoweringWA to support farmers, landowners, and business owners in this transition through the coordination and delivery of new electricity infrastructure.

We were immediate fans of Ares Group, who caught our attention with their fantastic branding and engaging activations. Being their first trade show and booth ever, we were hugely impressed with the quality of their booth. The bright yellow and slick design sucked us in, but it was their commitment to making ‘the impossible possible’ with out-of-the-box logistical thinking that kept our focus. Currently working on the West Gate Tunnel project alongside John Holland and pitt&sherry, two innovative, future-focused clients of ours, Ares Group work to reduce risk, time, and money spent on projects across Australia.

Bhagwan Marine’s video display took up an entire wall, drawing engagement and attention immediately with branded imagery and videos showcasing their fleet in transit. Their streamlined, eye-catching booth gave people a relaxing, blue-washed space to learn about their advanced marine solutions for the oil & gas, renewables, defence, and construction spaces.

Immediately inspiring curiosity with a name like MMA Offshore, these guys were clear about their focus right off the bat, centring their booth around a large-scale model of one of their ships. Providing fit-for-purpose solutions for intricate marine challenges, MMA Offshore works to transform the way marine services are delivered, for greater sustainability through reduced emissions, emerging tech and innovations, and diversifying revenue streams into sectors supporting the sustainable energy transition. Aligning sustainability efforts with overall business goals can allow companies to boost their efforts towards net zero, optimise current processes, and boost profitability.

Fortescue Zero put future-proofing at the very forefront of their mission with their giant map of global projects. Infographics such as these can be incredibly beneficial for communicating reach and impact as a brand, and something many of our clients have benefited from. Focused on becoming the leader in integrated green technology, energy, and metals, Fortescue Zero aims to lead by example, showing heavy industry companies that decarbonisation isn’t just possible, it can be profitable. They are the first of their kind with a construction plan aiming to achieve real zero terrestrial emissions across iron ore operations by 2030.

If you’re looking to talk through challenges, forge connections, and close big deals in the energy space, you don’t want to miss this one when it returns in 2025.
